AERATORS

Operational reliability is the number 1 consideration

Landia’s aerators run 24 hours a day all year, aerating wastewater at industrial and municipal wastewater treatment plants, and plants for the aeration and treatment of leachate.

For most of our customers, the high air injection and operational reliability of our products are vitally important because the mixers are used to control a sensitive biological process.

We have been developing and marketing aerators and aeration systems since the mid 1970’s, and hundreds of our systems are now in operation all over the world.

Two different aeration systems

The combined mixer/aerator is submerged in tanks or lagoons.

The combined mixer/aerator work this way:

The fast-revolving propeller create a strong vacuum immediately behind itself, which leads to atmospheric air (or pure oxygen) being drawn down through a pipe.
The injected air is mixed with the liquid while the liquid in the tank/lagoon is being mixed.

The Venturi AirJet system consists of one or more Venturi nozzles which are connected to a Landia chopper pump.

When the pump is running, the liquid is drawn into the pump’s knife system, where any lumps are chopped into pieces.

The liquid is then pressed out through the mixing nozzle under high pressure. This creates a strong vacuum inside the ejector which draws atmospheric air (or pure oxygen) down through a pipe.

The injected air is mixed with the liquid while the liquid in the tank/lagoon is macerated and mixed.

Minimal energy consumption

An aerator will usually run for long periods, in some cases even continuously – 24 hours a day, all year long.

That's why we devote so many resources of our daily customer-oriented product development to optimisation of the relation between strength and energy consumption.

Optimizing the orientation, the capacity of the motor and the size and design of the pump impeller means that we can minimize wear, energy consumption and noise level, and this has a favorable effect on the plant's operating economics and its impact on the environment.

Competent consultants

Through close dialog with our customers, if possible from the start of the design phase, Landia’s distributors and our sales companies’ employees make sure that we always deliver solutions which meet our customers’ exact needs.

We assign one of our internal project managers to every major project, and all our project managers have extensive technical/engineering educations.
– your guarantee of an expert job !

Delivery and commissioning

At the end of the project, the project manager makes sure that the customer’s employees get the training necessary to allow them to take on the responsibility of daily operation.
